Do you need a long-term or a temporary help with your online business?

Do you need long-term or temporary help with your business.png

Hey there!

Kudos to you for building your business to the point where you know you need some help :) That's a win worth celebrating.

So you want to work with a virtual assistant or help of some kind, but you're not sure quite how much assistance you need. You can contract a for one project or launch, on an as-needed basis, or have assistance every week long-term.

But how do you know what would be best for you and your business needs?

1. Consider what you actually need help with.

This may seem a bit self-explanatory, but considering what you need help with can help you figure out how much time you'll be needing a VA. If you're just wanting some help to spruce up your client care process or your website for example, hiring a VA for just that project or on an as needed basis is probably the best way to go.

However, if you know you'll be needing on-going support to send out your newsletter, build your passive income projects, etc., finding a VA that's a good fit for your business is definitely the way to go

2. Think about how much time you have to teach your processes for your business.

Anytime you bring someone new into your business, you're going to have to show them the ropes. So keep this in mind when deciding to bring someone on. If you're mid-launch and up to your ears in work, will you have the time to stop what you're doing and show your VA what you need done?

Your VA will likely have experience to be able to jump in and get started right away, but they can't read your mind. You're going to have to take some time away to make sure they have everything they need to complete their tasks and also have a clear understanding of what you need accomplished.

3. Anticipate your business growth and consider your goals.

This is super important to think about because if you anticipate your business growing a lot, it'd be a great idea to bring your VA on earlier in the process so they can get a good feel for you, your business, and your preferences before things get busy.

Have you worked with a VA for a solo project before? Or has a solo project turned into a long-term gig? Share your experience in the comments!
